Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her, among them an Oscar. She started her career as an actor on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. She has always had an interest in acting since when she was in the school. Her first role in a production in fifth grade was Helen Keller. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one her ear canals, but that didn't stop the actress from pursuing her dream. Her first film role was as an actress who played the lead character of Swing Shift. Since then, she has appeared in numerous films, TV series and films over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity as well as a winner of the Women in Film Lucy Award.
